The Rescue Dog Song- Adapted from My Fair Lady
All I want is a room somewhere
Far away from the cold night air
With one enormous chair
Oh, wouldn't it be wufferly?
Lots of chicken for me to eat,
A heater makin' lots of heat.
Warm snout, warm paws, warm feet
Oh, wouldn't it be wufferly?
Oh, so wufferly sittin' abso-woofin'-lutely still
I would never budge till the cat
Crept over me window sill
Restin' my head on a hoomin's knee
Warm and tender as she can be
Who takes good care of me
Oh, wouldn't it be wufferly
Wufferly, wufferly, wufferly, wufferly...
I adapted this but I can't really take much credit, it was well-suited to adaptation, and I am sure it has probably already been done in the past! Not to mention the original song is probably still copyright.
If you like the poem feel free to share it around.
