Last Saturday I went out with my friend Kat.
Finally! Ratted out 80s Goth hair thanks to Kat! This took about half a can of hairspray and had already gone limp after about half an hour. My hair isn't very into staying put.
My friend's gorgeous black kitten. He seems to think he is Dracula.
We went to Doughbox Diner which is an awesome 50s diner with delicious desserts.

On the way back we found a massive black cat. The biggest we ever saw. Possibly the King of Cats.
The most adorable little kitten ever!
Most photos of Doughbox Diner are from their Facebook page.
Looks like a fun evening! I'm digging the black hair.
ReplyDeleteAw thanks! It somehow ended up that colour from dark brown hair dye! I guess it's sort of brown-black.
DeleteYou look absolutely gorgeous! And the kitty... squeeeeeeeee! ❤
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks!
DeleteI recall my dad saying back in the day the punks used soap to keep their spiked hair all pointy. Haven't tried it myself...
ReplyDeleteI've also heard something about eggwhites. The boy at my school with the awesome mohawk apparently claimed he used glue but I don't know if he was just joking.
DeleteI met some guys once, at a random party and he actually used hot glue to put up his liberty spikes - I could smell it...He claimed it would just was off, but I've never met him again to see if it did...:)
DeleteHot glue! Wouldn't want to get that on your scalp! I wonder if he managed to get it out!
DeleteI've always wanted to visit a 50's diner :D Your hair looks great!
ReplyDeleteI hope you manage to sometime!
DeleteLOVE your Goth hair, little Dracula kitty and the diner.
ReplyDeleteThat last image of you and your friend is gorgeous!
Aw thanks! Kat edited the last one, I love that it looks kind of 20s!
DeleteThat diner looks so fabulous, I want to goooo <3
ReplyDeleteA weird trick a friend gave me for keeping hair put is to use a hairdryer to dry your hairspray. Weirdly enough it kinda works, keeps my fringe in place all day!
Delicious too! If you ever come up to Sydney, you have to go! They have an ad up for franchises, I am hoping it will spread all across Australia one day!
DeleteHmm, interesting, might try that for my fringe!
That looks like an awesome diner - that you only seen in movies. :D
ReplyDeleteBoth of you look very pretty. ^^ Some hairs are just like that, it doesn't care what YOU want, it lives its' own life. ;D
Yep, that is my hair all over! It very much likes to do its own thing!
DeleteOh, first I thought you took the big cat home. ^^
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun outing and you both looked absolutely gorgeous! Your hair is awesome! ^^ I do feel you, though, my hair doesn't stay put either.
Ha ha, I don't think he would have wanted to come, I think he was very happy where he was!
DeleteThat hair style looks so cool on you! And the waffle, it makes me drool ;P
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes, it was very drool worthy!
Deleteyou and your friend are both so cute!!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteYou're not alone! I have the fine, limp hair problem, too. In the past, I even tried sleeping all night in rollers (aarrgghh!), but the second I took them out in the morning and tried putting a comb through it, poof!! It all went limp and straight again. Bleah...
ReplyDeleteI did soft rollers as a kid, my hair fell out pretty quickly. When my hair was longer I used to do a wet head full of mini plaits overnight to get a crimpy, Pre-Raphaelite mass, that was the only thing that seemed to work for it.
DeleteHeh, at least you were smart and did SOFT rollers, I had the hard plastic ones! Hmmm, I like the sound of that other idea, that must have looked terrific on you! But I'm not sure I could do it, as my hair usually frizzes up horribly if I sleep on it wet! You're lucky yours didn't. I might try it, though, thanks for the tip! :-)
DeleteI love your hair! You look adorable and looked like you had a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteLooking good girly! You always find some adventures to get up to!
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this post; you guys' hair and red lips, the adorable kitties and the yummy treats :)
