Why Only One?

Why can you only have one soulmate? And why can it only be your romantic partner? What if everyone who touches your soul, who inspires you to be a better person, to write, to dream, what if all these people are your soulmates? Are you all pieces of the same soul or do you share some universal spark? Are you stars fallen down to earth, trying to find each other and return to your celestial home? Does it matter? Embrace the magic you share, love each other, treasure each other! Inspire each other!

  1. My soulmate is Shelley and has been so for years. It's a joke around my house. And has made for some interesting letter games! You can have many mates in life I have found and the longer you live the more you realize that life is full of people who inspire you. Some are fictional! LOL

  3. Exactly! Why do people , who live across the world, different in many ways, but gravitate to each other after some mysterious hint of same mindedness ...

  4. i dont think you can only have one, that is what happens in your thoughts when you fall in love. I think i have more tahn one, simply persons that i feel so close to even when we didnt talk for long... like... thinking of them and a minute later you get a call <3

  5. The moment I saw your title, I ran here with intentions to fight. Then I read the rest and put my gloves down. I agree. The idea of one soul mate is a tad limiting. Our souls are made richer with ever encounter (the good, the bad and the ones we can't quite decide). I suspect that many would argue the semantics of the issue, but I believe that in the end, there are man. And like you said, they are different. And that, my dear Laura, is what makes the whole living thing so interesting.

  6. I have a lot of soul mates and a lot of body mates. I don't think there is a special person waiting for somewhere on this world. I also don't seperate between the love for my friends and my family and my boyfriend. The love I feel for them is the same and not ranked anyhow. My boyfriend is just a person I love and have physical feelings for. There may be others that could be like him on this world, but currently we have an exclusive contract for the physical stuff... ;)

  7. I have many soul friends. The Celts call them Anam Cara, a friend of your soul. I love that concept. I am not a believer that there is only one person for everyone. I believe we choose to love who we want to after that initial attraction fades off. I choose to be with my partner. Could I fall in love with someone else? Probably. But I don't want to. My partner is the one I choose for me!
