Life Decluttering: Making Plans

Some people call it a bucket list but I find that a little final somehow.

These are some of the things I want to do and maybe I won't be able to do them all, or in the exact way I wanted, but that's ok.

It's just for the next ten years or so.

Here is what I can think of right now. I knoooow there are many more things I want to do.
  • Travel England in a horse-drawn wagon
  • Travel the canals of France in a houseboat like in Chocolat
  • Go to Japan
  • Go to New York
  • Go to New Orleans
  • Publish my novel/s
  • A home with lovely gardens
  • Disneyland (any, I have never been to any)
  • Dracula's Cabaret and Ripley's (QLD)
  • Go for a hayride (America only?)
  • Visit Sleepy Hollow for Halloween and see all the pumpkins
  • Have a White Christmas (Australia has hot Christmas)
  • Visit the Anne Rice Vampire's Ball (Halloween in New Orleans)
  • Visit the Bronte's hometown, Haworth
  • Visit the Lake District
  • The Bram Stoker Festival, Whitby and Wave Gotik Treffen
  • Meet some blog friends one day
  • Harry Potter World, Orlando
I plan to travel first, then settle down and have my own home, but I would still like to get my first novel done in the next couple of years!

Do you have a list?

  1. I will be here when you come to New York to promote your newly published novel! ♥

  2. Going though England in a horse drawn wagon seems awesome. I've been to London but regret not going to the countryside. I'd love to go to Iceland or Canada to see an aurora borealis on the first day of winter. Or 24 hours of sunlight on the first day of summer.

    1. I can't wait to go to America! I probably won't be able to do the whole thing in one trip though, might have to make one for New Orleans and one for the New York area.

  4. Laura, I hope you get to do everything on your list!

I still have a few things left that I want to do, although I never called it a 'Bucket List.' I agree with you, that seems a bit final. Skydiving, white water rafting in Alaska, traveling all over the world...those things I've done, although I never made it to Tibet. I also wanted to go bungee jumping to celebrate my 60th birthday, but, as I've back problems, I thought perhaps I ought to ask a chiropractor first whether that would be all right. He said, "NO!" Hmmpff. I should have just gone ahead without asking. Now, everytime I think I might, visions of months in traction appear in my head...

  6. I also have a list like that! I'll think I'm gonna do a blogentry about it and tag you since you came up with the idea :D

I wish I could offer you to spend a white christmas here sometime, because then you could strike to things from your list, haha, meet a blogfriend and have a white christmas. But sometimes we don't have snow for christmas, we used to have it when I was younger.

    1. I liked your list! I would love to come see you someday! The worst thing about living in Australia is the price of the plane fares to leave the country! We are so far from everywhere!

    2. Yeah :/ and people in my country always say that Australia is a bad place to travel to because of snakes everywhere?! xD

  7. I do hope you can make all those wonderful things one day!
It looks like we managed to wish some of the same things! Going to Japan (my sister lives there), publishing books, travel France and white Christmas are on my list too.

Also, it would be very lovely to meet blog friends as well. If only we could all manage to organize an alternative bloggers meetup one day...

  9. We share some of the same list, I also want to have a white Christmas!
I thankfully got to tick off Japan and Tokyo Disneyland a few months ago, totally go~! Japan is a wonderful country, the food is incredible <3 And also take 2 or 3 days for Disneyland, it's impossible to do everything in one day with all the people and lines. That's my only regret about Disneyland! :(

  10. Awesome list! ^^ I'd love to meet some blog friends too! ^^

  11. Come to Canada we have a white Christmas hehe! I have an unwritten list, it would probably stress me out a little if I actually wrote it all out. I want to go to the British Isles and Ireland on my honeymoon, and maybe Salem next summer, so those are the shorter term goals!

    1. I'd definitely like to see Canada one day, and also try and peek on the sets of all my favourite shows that are made in Canada!

  12. Great list :)

If you ever make it to Whitby give me a shout - I just got back! The first time you go is like stepping into Wonderland (though I did find the last one a bit busy - planning on going to the spring event in future).

I'm someone else who wishes to see the Northern Lights. And publish a novel. Actually, completing a novel I'm happy with would be a start!

And one day I would love to see my absolute heroine Julianne Regan sing live again. Voice of an angel.
